Welcome Home Vets provides psychotherapy at no cost to our clients and promotes community awareness of the effects of military-related psychological trauma, such as post traumatic stress, on the individual, the family, and the community. We also advocate for the needs of our clients, either as individuals or as a group. Because the needs of veterans and their families can be multi-faceted, we also provide referrals to local resources for housing, employment, health, education and other supportive services.
All of Welcome Home Vets’ actions are driven by our core values, which are:
No veteran shall be left behind. All will receive individualized services for military-related psychological trauma for as long as they need it.
No veteran’s family shall be left behind. All will receive individualized services for military-related psychological trauma for as long as they need it.
Welcome Home Vets’ promotes a healing community that supports the provision of all services, dispelling any sense of isolation for veterans and their families.
The entire community is enhanced by becoming informed and involved with those who have incurred psychological trauma as a result of military service.
Everyone shall be treated with respect, dignity, and acceptance.
The confidentiality of all service recipients shall be protected with only those exceptions mandated by law.
All donors have a right to absolute transparency concerning the use of donated funds.
Politics has no place here in the operation of Welcome Home Vets or in psychotherapy.
